Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
I've found I've had to extend my treatments from 60 to 75 minutes just to be able to take my time addressing my clients' issues. It's more relaxing for me and I know my clients don't mind!
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule. This is a great way to show appreciation for employees or add to a special event.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
I'm also offering the option of adding hot rocks as massage tools to penetrate more deeply your knots and trigger points. Just ask me to throw some stones into the cooker along with the hot towels and you'll be blown away at how affective and relaxing deep tissue can be.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied directly to the knots for an extended period in order to release them. This method can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
Trigger Point is used during the massage as needed. There is no additional charge.
Hot Stone Massage
Choose your own stones from my collection and solidify your connection to Mother Earth with the penetrating heat from heated stones. Or ask for hot stones to be added to your treatment/relaxation massage for a $10 additional fee.
Massage "How To" for couples
This is a fun way for two people to learn how to use massage techniques on each other. Clients will take 60 minute turns on the table enjoying getting massaged by both the professional massage therapist and your significant other.
New studies have proven the efficacy of CBD oil for the relief of pain and inflammation. Although I believe the effects are more substantial when the oil is used regularly, adding CBD oil to your massage may bring you more relief from your aches and pains. I have three different CBD oils to choose from.
Cold laser package of 5
NEW! Actually, cold laser therapy has been around for people, pets, and horses for two decades. My laser is a hand held device that projects low light frequency and/or infrared. The higher the power, the shorter the treatment session. I've had this treatment done on myself so I know it works. Correction--it worked on me. Not everything works on everybody. But the laser is proven to stimulate the healing response in a profound way. FOR: INFLAMMATION, ARTHRITIS, JOINT PAIN, NEUROPATHY, SCAR TISSUE, TENDONITIS, BURSITIS, if it hurts, this can help! Does not fix stenosis, bone spurs, eye problems.
I've found that a series of sessions is the most effective way to produce the best outcome. For chronic issues like diabetes and arthritis, subsequent treatment may be desired. Regular maintenance will be offered for a discounted package rate.
